A person who I would like to interview, is a woman who is a young entrepreneur, works in the marketing industry, started her own successful company, and a new mother: Kelly Burgess. CEO of Burg & Co. Marketing Company. I would like to interview her Mrs. Burgess because she is in a field that is most predominantly male lead industry. Due to becoming a Communications Director, I would have to outsource to a marketing company like Burgess’ company to help the company that I am employed with to get their products out on the internet whether it be social media or other forms of sharing the product. Some of the questions I would like to ask her is
- How did you decide to get into communications or more specifically in marketing?
- Why did you start your own company?
- How do you balance your work life and your home life now that you have a new addition to your family?

This interview sounds very interesting to me due to it involving the aspect of marketing since that field relates very closely to my major in advertising. It’s great to hear that the person your interviewing is a young entrepreneur that owns a successful company because it’s always better to talk to a person that is in charge and has been through all the struggles to get where they’re at today. I’m also very intrigued to hear her answer for question three because balancing your work life, home life, and now family life does seem like a new struggle to take on, so hearing her plan on how she’ll balance that will be quite fascinating. I think its so awesome to interview someone closely related to your field as I would want to do the same. Its’s always hard to be successful in such a male dominated field so to know she’s doing so is truly inspiring! for her to be a mother as well as a CEO is probably super hard to manage so it would be great get a glimpse on how she keeps it all together.
